jewelry design
Yves Saint Laurent once said "Fashions fade, style is eternal." This saying holds true and has strongly influenced this collection. I enjoy creating distinctive jewelry designs using the properties of color for the heightening of mind, body & spirit. Color, like light and sound, has frequencies that affect the way we feel by adding excitement and vitality to your wardrobe. These healing panes of glass are infused with the profound power of color that you can experience while enjoying the artistry and attention to detail.
Each talisman is a unique creation inspired by glass giants like Louis Comfort Tiffany, Charles Rennie Mackintosh, and architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The spirit of the Art Deco and Art Nouveau Periods of the early 20th century, and painters Gustav Klimt and Georges Seurat infuse and elaborate on the pieces. Color therapy--or chromotherapy--work with the concept that the visible spectrum of ROYGBIV affects the human energy field (aura) in a positive way. You've heard the idioms "green with envy", "out of the blue", "paint the town red", "look at the world through rose colored glasses", etc.. They denote how color makes us feel. We're responding to its frequency and vibration and that's why some colors are pleasing and others are not. There is a definite element of subjectivity involved in the psychology of color as well, including culture, generational perspectives, and personal preferences. Here are a few general descriptions of some of your favorite colors: |
